Ace Controller Orientation

The Ace Virtual Reality App will determine your controller orientation setting during initial setup. However, you may need to update your orientation at a later time, especially if you change your controller orientation.

If the orientation used is not the same as the VR setting you may experience an issue where your VR gun is not pointing straight. The laser may point to the side and at an angle, or backwards toward yourself.

If you encounter this issue or need to update your orientation please do the following:

  • Open the Ace VR app in your Meta Quest.

  • Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the TV screen in the main hut.

  • Choose the appropriate handset orientation (likely Ace Handset V2).

Additional Troubleshooting Tips

If you're still experiencing issues after updating your handset orientation, consider these additional steps:

Check Your Controller Installation

  • Ensure your Meta Quest controller is properly seated in the Ace handset

  • The spring-loaded rear hook point should securely hold your controller in place

  • Improper installation can cause misalignment issues

Verify You're Using the Correct Controller

  • Make sure you're using the right-hand controller in the handset

  • If the left controller keeps getting selected instead, try removing its battery
